You’re doing it! You’re getting a website.
The first two things you’ll need are:
Domain – which is your .com name (or .net, .org., .biz, etc.)
Web host - these are the folks who actually maintain your site on their computers, which are known as servers because they “serve” your site whenever someone calls it up on the internet.
If you have these, great. Otherwise, I would recommend either Hostgator or Bluehost (links below) because they both have great monthly prices (Bluehost will require that you pay for a minimum of 12 months); plans that let you have as many sites as you want for no extra money (on Hostgator, that would be the Baby plan for $7.95/mo), and reputations for good customer service. These are web hosts, and you can get your domain through them as well.
